Mosque at St. Catherine's Monastery?

CONCERNING THE MOSQUE AT ST. CATHERINE'S MONASTERY

A mainstream Orthodox bishop confirmed my understanding that according to the Fathers of the Orthodox Church, there is no salvation outside the Church. And he said he agrees with me that it is odd for this monastery to have a mosque there.

Just because Christians and Muslims worship ONE God does not mean we have the SAME God. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. (James 2:19).

A mosque at St. Catherine's monastery implies that they believe a person can go to God without Jesus Christ.

Says the Holy Scriptures of the Christian faith:

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." (1 John 2:23)"

...Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (John 5:23).

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doct…

Orthodoxy Against Pope Benedict XVI

Benedict XVI is a super-ecumenist heretic and facilitator of the Vatican II heresy of religious indifferentism/inclusivism.

BENEDICT XVI DENIES THE RESURRECTION OF THE BODY

Benedict XVI, Introduction to Christianity: “It now becomes clear that the real heart of faith in the resurrection does not consist at all in the idea of the restoration of bodies, to which we have reduced it in our thinking; such is the case even though this is the pictorial image used throughout the Bible.” (Benedict XVI, Introduction to Christianity, p. 349).

Benedict XVI, Introduction to Christianity: “The foregoing reflections may have clarified to some extent what is involved in the biblical pronouncements about the resurrection: their essential content is not the conception of a restoration of bodies to souls after a long interval." (Benedict XVI, Introduction to Christianity, p. 353).

Benedict XVI, Introduction to Christianity: “To recapitulate, Paul teaches, not the resurrection of physical bodies, but th…

Islam is NOT a Religion of Peace

The following article exposing Islam was written by me. I read several books. This information is not copied and pasted from the Internet.

Islam is NOT a religion of peace. Muslims want Christians, Jews and Pagans killed, unless they convert to Islam. Liberal Islam claims their religion is a religion of peace, but these people do not believe in the Koran or the Hadith.

"It is our opinion that whoever claims the acceptability of any existing religion today-other than Islam-such as Judaism, Christianity and so forth, is a non-believer. He should be asked to repent. If he does not, he must be killed as an apostate because he is rejecting the Qu'ran." (Shaikh Muhammad as-Saleh al-Uthaimin, The Muslim's Belief, p. 22).

WHAT IS JIHAD?

Dictionaries define "Jihad" as

A Moslem holy war; campaign against unbelievers or enemies of Islam. (Webster's New Twentieth Century Dictionary, p. 985).

A holy war undertaken as a sacred duty to Muslims (The Random House Dictionary …

A Refutation of Islam

The following article exposing Islam was written by me. I read several books. This information is not copied and pasted from the Internet.

A REFUTATION OF ISLAM

Muslims deny the deity, death and resurrection of Christ. Consequently, they fall under the Anathema issued by St. Paul in Galatians 1:8-9:

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." (St. Paul, Galatians 1:8-9).

Muhammad was once exhorted to test his teaching by the previous revelations of Jews and Christians. (Koran, Sura 10:94).

THE DEITY OF CHRIST

Muslims deny the deity of Christ and …

The Orthodox View of Mother Teresa

Many years ago a monk at the St. Herman's Monastery in Platina, California, told a Roman Catholic acquaintance of mine that Mother Teresa is "a great saint." The statement was made when the monastery was in schism from the Orthodox Church.

In the Orthodox Christian view, in order to be a saint one must be Orthodox. Mother Teresa was a Vatican II Roman Catholic. Historically, the Orthodox have considered post-schism Roman Catholics to be heretics. Not only was Mother Teresa a Roman Catholic, but she was an advocate of the Vatican II spirit of religious indifferenetism, as we shall see.

Before we look at the evidence against Mother Teresa, I want to quote an actual saint, Polycarp of Smyrna:

"Everyone who does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is an Antichrist; whoever does not confess the testimony of the cross, is of the Devil; and whoever perverts the saying of the Lord for his own desires, and says that there is neither resurrection nor j…

Against Mother Mariam's "The Orthodox New Testament"

UPDATE: 4/18/2019 (see end of article).

"Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?" (Galatians 4:16).

I have not read this translation, but I have heard Archbishop Gregory quote from it in sermons, and it sounds odd. The reason I focused on Mother Mariam's translation of 1 Corinthians 6:9, is because it is one of the few examples of her translation quoted on the Internet. Since I have seriously studied the New Testament since age 15, I knew immediately when I saw her addition of the phrase "nor masturbators" that it was wrong. And since I am a Christian, I am morally obligated to tell others about it. Her translation reads as follows:

"Or do ye not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Cease being led astray: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor masturbators, nor homosexuals"......[will inherit the Kingdom of God].

The words "nor masturbators" are not in the Greek text. Mother M…
